HOLY MOLY...

Hold on a minute while I try and pick my jaw up off the ground and wrap my head around what I just watched on the PLL Summer Finale..............

wow, wow, wow

Please tell me there are some PLL fans out there! This weasly tv show that I began watching on my couch a couple years ago when I lived alone in CS is now not a weasly little tv show anymore. 

It has sex, murder, lies, lesbian love, and is this huge mystery of betrayal and A, who the heck is A. I am hooked. And to think this show comes on ABCFAMILY....what the heck? This is NOT a family or kid show. Hell, I get scared when I watch it home alone at night-correction-I will NOT watch it alone at home at night.  It scares me, and I am not ashamed to say it! haha!  Not that I think this A person is after me, but just how sneaky this person is and always spying....umm weird.

Josh makes fun of me for watching this and REFUSES to watch it with me and says "That show is stupid. Its the worse of all the ones you watch" Well that there people kind of makes me raise an eyebrow....so you are telling me that all Real Housewives are BETTER than this show? and Keeping up with the Kardashians is BETTER than this? and Million Dollar Matchmaker is BETTER than this? hmmm, honey please! This is one of the few scripted shows I watch and it is def. not the worst! This is a conversation we have had multiple times, and I said "I am so shocked you won't watch this. It is a mystery and you love those.You don't like it because you couldn't find out who A is" and he did not disagree but did not agree- which in my book is a win!

Anyways the Summer Finale is mind boggling, for reals these writers are genius! I am seriously at a loss for words, which is okay because I do not want to ruin for any of you PLL lovers out there! I cannot wait for the next little season to start, I am guessing it will be a halloween episode! Just a wild guess! 

If you do not like this show for all of it's other awesomeness, the wardrobe is def a reason to watch it! I would love to live in Hanna or Aria's closet. Just for a week, or a month, or maybe my life! LOVE their style...they do have some really bombers but the majority are killer outfits! Not for everyone I might add, But it is up my alley! 

Well hopefully I will be able to understand what all this PLL episode means I might have to go watch it again since I was so tense the first time! 

Weekend at {Home}

This weekend Josh, Rock, and I loaded up and headed north! I love when I get to go home and spend time with family- sister event made it!! Laughs, up late and up early, and love is what is in full when I go home. I would not want to be anywhere else! Luckily I got off early on Friday so we did not get home too late- it is quite the haul home!

The only down side- the visit is always too fast! We brought the trailer home this weekend so we could haul back home this little gem: 

Meet Missy Mae

Yep, a new horse. I went home this weekend to visit my mom and dad, dad is feeling much better but still gets a little tired- but he will be back to 100% soon, and also try a horse. It is crazy, my dad has had his eye on this mare since she was a 2 year old. I rode her as a 3 year old, but just never was able to buy her. She is now 6 and has blossomed into a beautiful horse. She is broke, but green. Has not been hauled and does not know barrels! She is my new little project and I am trying her for the next month to see if we will get a long and be her new home!

I also tried a little sorrel named Annie, but we decided to go with Missy! This was how our families Saturday morning began! The weather was perfect!

After riding, we all got ready and went to eat at Bara's, good ol' Mexican food!

Josh and I then headed out to see his best friend and best man from his wedding and his new baby girl! Josh and her share the same birthday!!! :) We visited with him, his wife, and step daughter for a little while before heading to Josh's uncle's house to take photos of Deer! 

Yep, we worked while we were gone! Josh is trying to bring numbers up at the ranch so coming to the boss with photos of deer is his best bet! That was fun! We rode the 4 wheeler and shot a lot of pics!

The weekend was pure perfection! So much fun with the family!! We sure do know how to have a good time when we all get together!

Hope everyone has a great Day! I had a blah Monday, but getting to go home and work with Missy Mae made it way better! Yesterday our goal was to get her under the barn and on concrete...seems small but it was a huge accomplishment! We were very pleased with her! Her mind is sound and she is calm! Coupers has been a great help! :)

One of those days...

Ever have those days where you are just plain blah? If not, then be glad. I am def having one of those today. Maybe it's because my boss is at my computer and I'm bored out of my mind, or that josh rode in a helicopter for 2 hours and I had to sit behind a desk, or that people are coming to look at Coup tomorrow, or exhausted from a crazy past 2 weeks....whatever It is I'm ready to be out of blah mood!

This weekend I'm headed back to my hometown to see the family. It's always good going back to my roots for a few days! Luckily I get to get off around 1-2ish so we won't be home too to late!

Oh yeah, so people are Coming to check out Coup tomorrow! It's bitter sweet! Sure hope he finds a good home, but lord knows I'll be sad:(. We are actually headed home for me to pick up a new mare to try. I cannot wait to get back to riding!! And soon barrel racing! updates to come.

Not much today. Oh and my husband got to ride in a helicopter today around the ranch and count game. Now how is that for a job?

{Weekend} a day late

Did anyone else feel like this yesterday? Rock just wanted to tuck his head under and go back to bed, which was exactly how I felt! Especially when I got into my car and the whole screen with controls and navigation was black :( Dora is headed back to the dealership today, and hopefully they will get that fixed.

We had a wonderful weekend! It was nice to be at home and get a little organized and catch up on laundry, until we ran out of detergent....oops! My life is back to normal again, or at least my normal. It is organized and slowly by slowly getting more organized and doing the little things I have wanted to for the past 8 months! :) 

First things first: we built our wine and liquor shelves! They turned out great if I do say so myself!

1- Find a pallet

2- Cut the pallet to look like the picture above. We measured 13 inches from the bottom

3- place a 1x4 (I think) on the bottom for the base

and woo-laa there you have a wine shelf. We hung them with hercules hooks!

The liquor shelf we kind of came up with on our own, and was a little more difficult. Once you have cut the pallet you must get off the front board, and that my friends is not an easy task. But no worries, we got it! Once the front is off you either take off another board from the pallet or find a 1x6 and place on bottom to hold the liquor! This one has no front so the liquor bottles will fit!

I also made our inside pups name plates for their prospective eating area~ They turned out cute!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I know we did! I have now completed day 4 of insanity, and am on day 5 today! I have a hectic schedule and life, so I printed off the calendar and am marking off the days as I go, I took my day off on Sunday, so I have 5 more days until my next day off. I am really enjoying it, and how it makes me feel! And yet again, we have a very busy week, but I will keep getting my workouts done! :)

Yep, My Favorite Day!

Whooo Hooo we made it through another work week. This is exactly how I feel every Friday today! It is hot, okay hot is an understatement, it is the kind of heat where when  I run and I feel like I am literally gasping for air because I am so tired it is so hot I fell like I am gasping for last bit of oxygen the world has but cannot find any! Dramatic? Maybe a little, but running outside just does not seem like an option for this gal in the month of August being in Texas. Conclusion-make excuses and say too hot and not do a whole lot....well that ended yesterday! 

I made a vow to quit making excuses and do something about it. Skinny does not happen by doing nothing. The hardest step is the first, and I repeat this to myself every time before I go work out. Just do it. You will feel way better after! and that is just what I did yesterday. With the heat, I decided to stick to an indoor workout and throw a little INSANITY in my life. This workout be insane I tell you, but it feels oh soo good! 

I started yesterday and will hopefully get in my second workout today before I have to be at the lodge to workout. This will require me to go straight home, change, workout, then hurry and get to lodge! I can do it though! No more excuses!!!! It hurts no one but me! 

I then enjoyed our nice jet tub to try and beat some soreness out of my body, so I would be able to work out today. If you have done this workout, you know how much it kicks your tail. And to be honest, I'm competitive and like to get pushed and surprisingly this video does that. It pushes me and Shaun T is motivating! 

If you haven't tried this fast paced cardio workout, I think you should! It is def worth it and beats being out in the heat!! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

No more excuses,

A little re-decorating

Whew! It is almost Friday!! I know Rock is excited, just look at him! :) I hope everyone has fun plans! I will be at home cooking a little for the workers, and doing some good ol' crafts! You see, when we moved in to our house and my BIL moved out, he left 4 big mounts in the living area because he did not have a place to put them, and we did not have enough stuff to fill the space-- so it worked out grand! Well he just packed up and moved out to Colorado for hunting season and for good, which meant the mounts all went with him leaving us lots of space.

So this kicked my creativeness into overdrive. Pinteresting began! With the recent tornando, we have a ton of scrap wood lying around everywhere and I plan to use that to my advantage. So I will be doing a bunch of little projects this weekend for the casa! Our first project was to move our cross wall from the kitchen to the living area to fill up the space where the wine/liquor rack was and then we will hopefully build 2 wine/liquor shelves this weekend for the kitchen

I also finished this little project last night as well! Remember the post last week with Mail holder ideas? Well tada here it is! Best part- it was FREE! I made it all from items I had at the house! It will def get the job done for now!

Lastly, has anyone been watching Hard Knocks? GREAT SHOW! I am addicted and cannot wait for football season. It covers an NFL football team and their training camp, this year it is the Dolphins and airs every Tuesday and is showing what happened the week before. So on this week's episode you saw the first pre-season game, a quaterback that is out for a few weeks and why, and CHAD JOHNSTON's arrest and getting let go! So next week should be good also! You will see everyone battling for that spot! Also, a guy I went to highschool with is on there, random.

Did that really just happen?

So last Thursday was quite the eventfull day for this family, although living on the ranch and if you read this blog it always seems like something is going on doesn't it? Water goes out, Electricity out,  horse cuts leg, baby calf raising, cow chasing, parachute man landing...all kinds of things..well anyways! Last Thursday Josh had to come to town for work so we decided to run a few erands and grab a bite to eat and drinks in town. While at dinner, it began to rain, and the Direct TV went out for a bit, when it came back on the weather showed red and yellow where we live. We said "Oh, maybe we are getting some rain" It literally always misses us (supposedly living on the top of the hill and elevated has something to do with it or something like that.).  

We come home to this....

A tornando literally went through the main compound and hit the lodge, hunters cabin, and one of our barns. It went RIGHT BY my horse. We called our neighbors and asked if they had a tornando and they said "No, we had some rain and light wind nothing bad" They were shocked to hear the damage we had so came over to see it all. You can literally see the trail that the tornando hit. Tree's were down, roof was missing off lodge, it blew debree everywhere, took the whole porch and roof off Cabin and flipped it over top and across the road which is about 50 ft. Went right by Coup's barn and hit the other barn and took off whole covered area and roof and threw tin everywhere. The same barn that just got 24,000 LBS of feed :/. Luckily, our house was fine and our animals were fine. Nelson was a little nervous because he is an outside dog. All is fine now, minus the mess to be cleaned up and roofs to be fixed, but all in time my friends!

{Weekend Rundown}

Hope your weekend was fantabulous and you took it all in, because here we are at Monday again! Weekends just fly by, and so does life when you are living it weekend to weekend I feel! haha

So this weekend Josh and I headed to yet another wedding. A high school girlfriend of mine got married this past Saturday in Austin. It was so good to see everyone, including Lin who just moved to Virginia last month! We enjoyed some yummy mexican food at Chuy's, Pool Time, and catch up time! It is aways a good feeling to be reunited with your long time besties and know that everything through the years is still exactly the same!

Sunday, we got out of town early and dropped Lin back off at the airport to get a rental. We grabbed lunch at a little cafe in Harper an hour from home and it was quite delish! Once we got home, we went to pick up Rock and he was FILTHY! Needless to say he had a blast at his babysitters playing in the water with the other pups! We got our naps and resting in before tackling some domestic jobs 1- folding sheets and making guest bed 2- Cleaning bathroom and unpacking 3- Cleaning out Josh's Closet (see Below) and 4- I cleaned and reorganized our desk area and two junk drawers ! I will take pictures when completely done, but I forgot to even take before! It looks WAY Better tho!

We had quite the productive Sunday for us!
