Wow...I cannot believe that it is already 2010!! I have a good feeling about this year!! :)
I got to bring in this year pretty low key but yet Amazing! I got to spend it with the love of my life at the most amazing place, LJD ranch-his home!! To most this may not seem like your oridary carribean Vacation or mountains in Colorado, but for us it is perfect. I absolutely love it out there. There is just something about being 30-45 mins from society, no cell phone service, on 3,000 acres of hills, animals, and rocks that comforts me and being with the one I love. We ate dinner at the lodge with the Mr. DelPapa the owner of the ranch and just hung out with him, his wife, and all of their friends. We actually had a lot of fun popping fireworks, playing games, and just chatting with everyone. It was REALLY good for Josh to be in that atmosphere and helping out. The next week of course sucked. Just when things start to get comfortable ( I was there for 4 days) I have to pack up and head back to my home-College Station. There was a tad bit of depression and tears the next week, BUT then I come to the realization of that is the situation we are in and I need to suck it up and deal with it and in the end it will all be worth it! HEY- Im a girl I have to have my little break downs here and there!
This past weekend was a lot of fun! We had Sarah and Kevins Couple Shower at the Corner bar!!! It started at 6 and we actually stayed out at NG till 2! Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing lol! We had a ton of fun!! Cannot wait for their weddnig in May, even if I am going to bawl my eyes out!!
I went to my first barrel race of the year (the next day- but i made it like a champ )this past weekend and it was a great success--minus the fact that Coup set so hard on the second I almost went over his head--. But no, all in all he made a killer run. It was a HUGE run and the third barrel was literally in the middle of the pen with no fence to be seen. You see this tends to be a little bit of a problem when you and your horse's main issue is the third, and usually he gets so excited it is hard to set him and get him around it. So first run back after almost three months you can only imagine the butterflys I had going in my tummy thinking..."hmm this is really gonna test us Coup, Are you ready for this?? and more Importantly am I ready to sit up and ride your butt?" And he worked his little hiney off! I got soooo excited coming around the third...that i lost my brain and forgot to make him finish the turn I just gave him his head to run home! oops! One of these days I will ride like i use to on Showbox! I trust Coup now...I have no reason not too, but it is like my head and heart keeps holding me back! But We are def doing better and running on an average .5 off fastest time which is A LOT better! I know he has more, I just gotta ask it!
So that is about all that I have going on. Been pretty busy. This weekend I have to work...and josh will be in town so that kind of sucks. He leaves for Pennsylvania Feb.2 to go to a hunting show for basically the entire month of feb since it is a short month! lol! But really...he is gone for 18 days! That is a long hunting show!!! I am happy for him though he really loves what he does! And they are really doing a lot with TNT-Outfitters! If you ever wanna go hunt or just get a weekend away check out tnt-outfitters.com and hunt with my Boyfriend!!! :) Here is a pic of me at the ranch the first time I ever actually sat in a blind
Until next time~~~
