26 Days...

I saw this on a blog the other day. It was from a girl and her visual of her wedding! It was something I had never heard or thought of before, but yet very fitting and feel it came at the most perfect time of my planning! I love it and feel it is so perfect. She said

"I felt my vision began with the concept that this wedding was a big deal, but not the biggest day of my life. Each day after the wedding was more important than the day before, in that growing together was the whole reason we decided to get married! It was almost like I envisioned this wedding as a send off party. We both were leaving our individual lives and individual needs to share needs, concerns, struggles, debt, etc. with each other. In other words, life was no longer going to revolve around our own needs, so we were gonna need one fabulous night with friends, family and dancing because things were gonna get craaaaaa-zzzy after that wedding!"

I absolutely love this. So many times we get caught up on this BIG day and lose track of what it really is. This is the day that I marry my best friend and begin a new journey of life together. It is no longer just me. No longer my life and your life. It is now OUR life, and OUR struggles, and OUR happiness. It is the day you get to be joint together with god in front of friends and family as a new family, the two of you. This excites me! This iiisss like a send off on our new journey together and farewell to our old lives as two separate people! And what a great way to do it! Having everyone there is soo important, because these people are so dear to each of us as individuals, and now as a married couple. And these people will be the ones to help us along our journey! So here is to the last final days as a me and I and cheers to my future as being a We and US! Life is much sweeter with your best friend and love by your side and I cannot wait for it! :) So bring it April 21! I am ready!!! and for all the wonderful days to follow!

A Victim of Spring Forward

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I am guilty this year. It has kicked my tail! Luckily, I am home this weekend all by myself to catch up on rest! Josh will be out for his bachelor party, so just me, my pup, couch, DVR, and some wine! :) I will be 100% content!

This past weekend was my bachelorette party, and only one word to describe the weekend. AMAZING! I could not have asked for a better time, only that my stomach would have held out all Saturday night, but that is for another time...or not! Everything from the "Pot of Gold" to my custom made Nash sash with a clover, to the people there was perfect!!! It was so fun to be with all of my friends, because that rarely gets to happen since they are all from different times of my life journey! Pics to come soon! Too much to post right now, and I am tired! This weekend!!

We have reached the 1 month mark until the wedding! 30 days! I cannot believe it is here. I would be lying if I said I haven't had mini break downs here and there, but I have a wonderful fiance to help me through it all! :) Any helpful hints from brides out there are appreciated!!! Let me know what to do/expect this last month!!!!

1 Month until I am married!!

Showered with Love

This weekend Josh and I packed up and headed to the great town of College Station late late Friday night for a weekend with friends and family for our first official "Wedding Shower" ! Seriously, I have never felt so blessed, and loved, and excitement! It was great to get to spend the evening with our friends and family-all the people that mean the world to us and are huge parts of our lives. The hostess did a wonderful job with everything from the decor, to the food, to the cake and cupcakes, to the beverages provided! I know Josh and I were extremely thankful to all who came, all those who worked hard to make it a great shower, and we enjoyed every minute of it!

Here are a couple of pictures I got snapped on my camera

I feel the showers are only a tiny preview of what the wedding will be like. Before I knew it, everyone was gone, gifts were opened, and goodbyes had been said. It was a whirlwind of trying to visit with everyone, and mingling! This I believe, is just a small small, no TINY glimpse of how the wedding will be. I sat back hoping I said thanks to everyone, and talked to everyone, and hugged everyone (even though we all know I am not a hugger! Mom and Josh say I need to work on that!) But I hope/ and know at the wedding we will say our hello's and thank yous and then make sure we have a good time on the dance floor with friends and family celebrating our new lives together! I cannot wait to just dance and have fun and live in the very moment of my wedding!!

It is approaching fast. I believe it is like 43 days or something like that. CRAZAY!! After invite drama, we finally received them and mom has been working away to get those out. We addressed them ourselves not wanting to take any chances of having to wait on ANYONE else that we do not have control over, but they have control over us by not hitting deadlines. STRESSFUL to say the least. And even with the drama of the invites, and after receiving them, we were 10 short. So needless to say it was CLOSE.

We got our first RSVP last night! That was an exciting feeling and makes it all so real! :) I cannot wait for the last leg of the planning journey and all it entails!

Until next time,
