Weekend with friends that you haven't seen in awhile are always good for the soul! This weekend was no different! Seeing my dear friends from HS was such a fun time! We all met up in FW Friday for a weekend of celebrating Betsy! I, of course, had the longest drive and arrived last!
Still driving....
They waited on me to start the lingerie shower, so we jumped right into that!
Soon after we all went to our rooms to get ready for bed, because 6:00am was going to be way early! We left the hotel at 6:30am to head to Dallas for the Color Run! We walked and jogged the race and had a blast! Mimosas were consumed throughout race haha!
The Group Before
Pre-Race
and after!
Afterward we headed to Brunch, before heading back to the hotel...where long showers were taken and naps were had before heading out to dinner at Joe T Garcias, and out on the town!
We Event received bottle service at one of the bars, and danced and drank the night away! It was a blast! And I felt fine the next day, I call that success!
Bachelorette Bottle Service!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Link up with Sami!
Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a good Monday! I had a hard time getting back into the kick of things after a great weekend! This weekend Husband and I made the truck up north to our hometown! This was our first trip back since August and I took Friday off so I could enjoy being home! We had 2 showers to attend to Saturday, so I knew the weekend would fly if I did not take off!!
We got in later Thursday and visited with my parents! Friday morning husband and I woke up and braved the cold and went for a 2 mile run! Then enjoyed breakfast together! These Breakfast tacos are the best and It is a must every time we go home!
My parents were off at noon and we got to enjoy the day with them! Lunch, shopping, lounging, then my dad cooked out!! It was the perfect day in my eyes! Nothing like being home with the people that mean the most to you, minus sister and TJ.
Saturday morning husband headed out with the guys for shooting, booze, and food & I went with the girls to the bridal shower! It was great to see all my friends! I miss them and love how every time we see each other we never miss a beat no matter how long it has been!!! Then back on to a engagement type party that evening for the same couple!!!
We left early Sunday to get home and it was nice getting home in the afternoon! We unloaded and watched TV! Here are pics from our weekend!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Ours was spent at home with no plans! We just did what we wanted when we wanted and it was nice!!!! Friday evening a cold front hit, but I made sure to get a run in anyway, and then did arms. And boy do my arms hurt....still. Lost has taken over our TV, so we ate Turkey Burgers and watched Lost. We are on the second season, and addicted!!
Saturday the day was beautiful! I got in a nice ride on Missy, and then we went golfing!
Sunday consisted of these cute faces!
We made Jalapeno Chicken last night for dinner! Oh my goodness it was delicious!!!!
And just to get your Monday started off, check out this video of Popcorn and Josh from Sunday! This little mini donkey keeps us entertained! He is so funny!
What a perfect weekend!!!! I kicked it off with a barrel race after work on Friday! Missy Mae is still very green, but I wanted to get her out and that is what we did! She did Awesome for our first time anywhere and only being on the barrels for 8 days since Oct! It was a success!!!
I just love this little mare!!
Ready to go!
Rocky boy watching me as I exhibition! What a sweet boy!
Saturday the husband and I woke up after getting in after midnight, and did a quick workout! Then headed to SA for mardi gra's on the riverwalk with friends!! We had so much fun with everyone!!

Mardi Gra'd out with our beads!
Where ya get that sign yo?
The weekend was fun and wrapped up with a lazy Sunday! Dog beds were washed, business pants cleaned, and lots of couch and TV time! We are watching Lost seasons for the first time, and loving it! So our TV time is spent in this show!
This weekend the husband and I took advantage of him having the weekend off and we went on over to Houston to visit friends! There was a cookoff we planned on attending Friday night and then Top Golf Saturday, with plans of going back to the cookoff to watch a band play we all enjoy!
It has been awhile since the husband and I have road tripped and we had a ball! :) Singing and dancing And Emoji texting with a friend kept us entertained the entire way! Here are some pics from the weekend!
Don't mind the creepy eyes from Iphone pics! We froze our bums off here, but it was fun!
Top Golf! We literally spent 9 hours at this place. We arrived at 2 hoping to leave by 7 to make it to the cookoff, well we did not even get our bay until after 5. So needless to say we were not going to only play for 2 hours after we waited 3! So we stayed...until 11 p.m.
Just Rocky boy and I headed home on Sunday :( The husband stayed back to help a friend move and hunt Monday am before they road tripped back home.
Rock rode Shotgun
Lastly, this is my new purchase. Nike Fuel Band! Say what you will, but I am obssessed! Do not rain on my parade or burst my happy bubble! I understand it isn't an "accurate" calorie counter but it sure is better than not having one!! ANNNND I literally did jumping jacks and ran in place for 15 minutes to hit my goal the first day! I just up'd my goal to 4,000 fuel points so Hope I hit it!!!
And my after work work-out yday! Boom! But my knees are paying for it today, so it was just the elliptical for me this am.
I love this week so much! It is a short work week, family time, and great food!! To say it is hard for me to concentrate at work right now, might be an understatement! This weekend Josh and I felt like we were hardly home. We got back to the house late Friday and crashed early. We have been so go go that we are exhausted and crash once we hit the couch.
Saturday we woke up early and some one was not pleased at all.
We had to go to SA to run a few errands before picking up the ranch chef at noon.
Got home, rode Missy, watched a night of crazy college football and ate wings. yumm! If you are ever in need of a good Buffalo Wings recipe I got ya right here! These are baked, so healthy, and oh so tasty! Just simply boil them in water for 15 minutes. Add pepper and cayenne pepper to water. Then Broil on high for 30 minutes, 15 on each side. Then we just toss them in a wing sauce and woolah! Amaze!!
Sunday, we were up early again to go to the grocery store for Thanksgiving shopping. We brought the chef in with us. Josh and I ran a few errands and then did our shopping and were done, but the chef was not! Finally after 4 hours, a truck bed and back seat full of food, and dealing with the CC company because they thought the card was stolen, we were headed home.
Josh is so busy with work we unloaded groceries and he went back out to work. I, on the other hand, did laundry, cleaned, and showered...when all I wanted to do was watch my DVR reality shows and do nothing! :) But being I am housesitting in town until Wed. and my parents arrive Wed, and Josh will be working non-stop, I decided to be a good wife ;)
While Josh was out filling feeders I got a text to download the song "If I didn't Have You" by Thompson Square. OMG! Such an amazing song. The lyrics are perfect and really explains how you feel about that special person in your life. I could not imagine my life without Josh in it. He makes me want to be a better person for him, and we simply compliment each other. He is my strength when I am weak and and my sunshine through the rain! :) It makes my heart so happy when he sends me sweet songs like this:) Do yourself a favor and listen below, and then download!
This weekend was pretty low key for me. I drank extremely nice wine, ate good food, watched great football, rode Missy, DIY Projects and enjoyed nice conversation.
My little girl, Missy!
You may or may not know this past weekend was opening weekend. I live in hunting territory. Ranches line every road I drive to get to my house from work, and that is a 65 mile commute, y'all! So needless to say our little town was popping this weekend. Trucks, trailers, camo, coolers, 6 wheelers, everywhere!
My hubby, of course, is in this business. It is his job. The company he works for brings clients and friends out to the ranch and we wine and dine them for the weekend! This group was a special group. Have been friends forever and have not missed opening weekend in something like 35 years!
Saturday I watched the Aggies BTHO Mississippi State! Whoop!!!
Love our uniforms!
Sunday we took the group back to the plane, and did a few errands which included treats and toys for the pups! Then enjoyed Sunday Football, lunch, and a bloody mary!!
I also, did a little DIY projects. More to come on those on Thursday when I link up with
