Never Forget...

Today is a big day and not one to be overlooked. I will never forget 9/11. I still am at a loss of words on this day, every year. Maybe because I witnessed it all and remember it in so much detail that it leaves me at a lost for words. I still shake and feel tears when I think of this horrible act at happened 11 years ago today.

I will never forget where I was on that Tuesday morning, yes I remember to the day of the week it happened on. I will never forget the emotions I felt, the confusion that ran through my mind, and the pain that so many families and Americans felt. I will also never forget how much pride it gave me to be part of such a wonderful nation that came together when people were trying to break us down.

I will always remember in my heart the many heroes and innocent people that died that day and be thankful for all of the heroes we still have fighting for our freedom today. 9/11 is a very humbling day and reminds us of a time/day that was so scary and painful in the eyes of our entire country. We were all affected that day. I pray for those families that lost loved ones, and for those that are still fighting for us. and I thank all of you that protect all of us each day.

A Long Time Coming...

So I have been married now for almost 5 months and was engaged for a year before the wedding day, and I still have yet to post any photos of the engagement or wedding! What am I thinking??  So here is the first part of many post over the next few days of engagement and wedding!!

Our Engagement

Josh and I dated almost 7 years before he finally popped the question…yes that is a long time, but believe me when I tell you the timing was perfect. The 7 years of dating we were apart the 1st year, together for 3 years, and apart for 2.5 years. We changed as individuals and as a couple, we grew as individuals and as a couple, and we strived to meet our own goals and be our own as individuals and
 as a couple.

You see, we both had things we wanted to do and accomplish as individuals and knew that we were going to marry one day. This may not work for everyone, but it did for the two of us. We knew god had a plan for us, and that one day everything would align and work out, and it did.  No one understood it, but we did and that is what mattered. I would be lying if I said there were not times that I wanted/prayed/hoped he was going to ask years before he did…but then I would think, no we are not ready yet, and I am so glad he waited!! He made sure my entire family was there when he popped the question and it was all on tape. I will never forget that day.

Being engaged was an amazing experience to me! Knowing that I was going to get to marry this amazing guy who never quits, has so much work ethic, does not let things beat him down, and in all has made me a better person made me excited. I was going to get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. And yes, it may be trying at times, but we are in this together along with God guiding us! He makes me laugh, smile, mad at times, but I would not trade it for the world!! We took our engagements at the ranch and of course had to have our little fur babies included! K2 Photography nailed it! I feel they really portrayed us as a couple in these photos and could not have been more pleased!

Happy Tuesday!

{Weekend} Recap & Labor Day

Hello Lovelies! What a gorgeous Monday it is here in the Hill Country. It was a cool 50 this morning and now 62!:) I love fall and am so excited for the cooler weather! Fall can go back to being my favorite time of year, since my husby is no longer away for the entire time guiding hunts in CO! He is now home, with me! And we get to watch football every Sunday together, it is the little things people, the little things! :) In no time Nov. will be here and hunting season will start, but alas he will be here working and not away! :)

I hope everyone had a very fun or low key weekend! I enjoyed mine, but of course if it isn't one thing it is another right?(dryer)Josh left Saturday morning and got home late that night from playing in a company golf tournament! I did some domestic wifey duties like a good wife, and enjoyed some aggie football! Although we lost, I am and will always be one proud Aggie! It will be a long season, but none the less it was nothing that wasn't expected! Cant wait to be at Kyle field in 2 weeks to watch the Ags, and husby gets to go FINALLY!

Sunday we did a whole lot of nothing. By 11 am we were already finished riding Missy Mae! She was a little pill last week, and we were not sure if she was hurt or being a pill, well no worries just being a pill! She tried it a few times yesterday, but I set her straight and she did great! It feels wonderful to be riding again!!! And then we ended the night with our dryer not working...perfect. Hopefully can figure that out soon, plus side is it was out last load. Here are a few photos from our weekend at home!

Sunday Evening Rum with the Husby
My DIY Workout shirt...the shirt was huge so thats why looks that way

A visitor we had before dinner
We made a pallet to watch the Game and Rocky just made himself comfy

I promised pictures from Labor Day weekend! So this is kind of a double weekend recap! Labor day we had about 14 people down for the "1st Annual Turds & Birds Dove Hunt" (Josh's clever name for the weekend) Birds weren't flying like they had been since we had gotten rain, but the guys and randi, def got a good bit. 125 birds the first day! Us girls went to kerrville that morning for Pedi's and lunch for Botzong's Birthday! Once home we spent a couple of hours at the pool then the 3 of us went driving around, and what a trip that was! LOL.

Sunday the fun continued with a day at the pool and volleyball. Not many birds flying that day, but we enjoyed dove that night and a night of beer pong, corn hole, and laughs. Monday we all sat around in the living room reminiscing over the weekend and laughing at all the photos.

Here are just a few of the photos from my camera.

I am preparing myself for the most shocking Bachelor Pad Finale yet! Have a great Monday Night!

Random and Aggie Football

I am so ecstatic that it is already Thursday! The weekend cannot come soon enough, even though I have cleaning and a ton of laundry to do---oh well still be a lazy weekend at the house! I have been MIA this week for a couple of reasons 1- Keep leaving my camera at home and forgetting to upload pics at home for a Labor Day update 2- There is a lot I want to say but sometimes better to keep in or save for another time so that then leads to 3- I have had nothing to write about!

So here I am, with a post full of randoms and gearing up for Aggie Football season! Labor Day was a blast from beginning to end. Regardless if Saturday I drove off with the pump to the gas tank still in my car, or busted a beer bottle at the pool, OR busted a brand new sauce pan lid....it was a good weekend.  Yeah, Saturday was not my day to say the least! More to come on that weekend soon. The pictures are too good not to post! And one video...oh em gee...hilarious! It is on our friends camera though, so maybe I can get it! :)

This little bad boy here is some pretty good makeup! I love it because it stays on all day...hence the 24 hours...and doesn't make my skin all blah! It's super reasonable/cheap...and can purchase at any HEB, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS! :) I have a problem with my makeup constantly coming off Eyeliner, and foundation or powder. My face just doesn't hold it. Recently I have tried this, which works, and been using eyeshadow as my eyeliner for my bottom lid. It seems to stay on a little better, which I enjoy. I hate having crappy makeup at the end of the day and looking like shiz!

Oh another thing to add to the week...Root Canal. Not me, but the Husby. Yep, Next Tuesday he gets to make his little way to SA and get a root canal. He has gorgeous teeth, I told him he needs to 1- get them taken care of and then 2- take care of them so he doesn't mess them up. STAY AWAY FROM CANDY!!! He sure does love that candy, sure he won't be eating that for awhile!

This weekend I will be home Saturday while Husby drives to his first company golf tournament on Saturday! Good luck to him! :)

And I leave you with a little motivation for the 1st Aggie Football game kick off on Saturday! COLLEGE GAME DAY!! Welcome to Aggieland, Florida!

HOLY MOLY...

Hold on a minute while I try and pick my jaw up off the ground and wrap my head around what I just watched on the PLL Summer Finale..............

wow, wow, wow

Please tell me there are some PLL fans out there! This weasly tv show that I began watching on my couch a couple years ago when I lived alone in CS is now not a weasly little tv show anymore.

It has sex, murder, lies, lesbian love, and is this huge mystery of betrayal and A, who the heck is A. I am hooked. And to think this show comes on ABCFAMILY....what the heck? This is NOT a family or kid show. Hell, I get scared when I watch it home alone at night-correction-I will NOT watch it alone at home at night.  It scares me, and I am not ashamed to say it! haha!  Not that I think this A person is after me, but just how sneaky this person is and always spying....umm weird.

Josh makes fun of me for watching this and REFUSES to watch it with me and says "That show is stupid. Its the worse of all the ones you watch" Well that there people kind of makes me raise an eyebrow....so you are telling me that all Real Housewives are BETTER than this show? and Keeping up with the Kardashians is BETTER than this? and Million Dollar Matchmaker is BETTER than this? hmmm, honey please! This is one of the few scripted shows I watch and it is def. not the worst! This is a conversation we have had multiple times, and I said "I am so shocked you won't watch this. It is a mystery and you love those. You don't like it because you couldn't find out who A is" and he did not disagree but did not agree- which in my book is a win!

Anyways the Summer Finale is mind boggling, for reals these writers are genius! I am seriously at a loss for words, which is okay because I do not want to ruin for any of you PLL lovers out there! I cannot wait for the next little season to start, I am guessing it will be a halloween episode! Just a wild guess!

If you do not like this show for all of it's other awesomeness, the wardrobe is def a reason to watch it! I would love to live in Hanna or Aria's closet. Just for a week, or a month, or maybe my life! LOVE their style...they do have some really bombers but the majority are killer outfits! Not for everyone I might add, But it is up my alley!

Well hopefully I will be able to understand what all this PLL episode means I might have to go watch it again since I was so tense the first time!

Weekend at {Home}

This weekend Josh, Rock, and I loaded up and headed north! I love when I get to go home and spend time with family- sister event made it!! Laughs, up late and up early, and love is what is in full when I go home. I would not want to be anywhere else! Luckily I got off early on Friday so we did not get home too late- it is quite the haul home!

The only down side- the visit is always too fast! We brought the trailer home this weekend so we could haul back home this little gem:
Meet Missy Mae

Yep, a new horse. I went home this weekend to visit my mom and dad, dad is feeling much better but still gets a little tired- but he will be back to 100% soon, and also try a horse. It is crazy, my dad has had his eye on this mare since she was a 2 year old. I rode her as a 3 year old, but just never was able to buy her. She is now 6 and has blossomed into a beautiful horse. She is broke, but green. Has not been hauled and does not know barrels! She is my new little project and I am trying her for the next month to see if we will get a long and be her new home!

I also tried a little sorrel named Annie, but we decided to go with Missy! This was how our families Saturday morning began! The weather was perfect!

Annie

After riding, we all got ready and went to eat at Bara's, good ol' Mexican food!

Goofy Josh
Josh and I then headed out to see his best friend and best man from his wedding and his new baby girl! Josh and her share the same birthday!!! :) We visited with him, his wife, and step daughter for a little while before heading to Josh's uncle's house to take photos of Deer!

Yep, we worked while we were gone! Josh is trying to bring numbers up at the ranch so coming to the boss with photos of deer is his best bet! That was fun! We rode the 4 wheeler and shot a lot of pics!

The weekend was pure perfection! So much fun with the family!! We sure do know how to have a good time when we all get together!

Being goofy

sister and dad

Being us

Hope everyone has a great Day! I had a blah Monday, but getting to go home and work with Missy Mae made it way better! Yesterday our goal was to get her under the barn and on concrete...seems small but it was a huge accomplishment! We were very pleased with her! Her mind is sound and she is calm! Coupers has been a great help! :)

Peace!
